About Us

On a particularly frigid February evening, John Corcoran arrived home from work and calmly proclaimed to his wife Nancy, “We’re selling everything and moving to the Bahamas!” Tired of the cold, monotonous Canadian winters John was desperate for a change, and Nancy had very little choice except to tag along. What initially began as a 5 year plan, progressed a little quicker than anticipated. By the following winter Nancy and John had sold all of their belongings, bid farewell to family and friends and began exploring the Bahamas - and that is how Bikini Adventures came to be.

Over the past four winters they have been exploring the beautiful Bahama Islands, from the idyllic Abacos to the friendly and welcoming Exumas. Sailing through the turquoise waters of the Bahamas on their 47 foot catamaran Bikini, they have discovered secluded white sand beaches, authentic Bahamian villages, and the essence of island living. Their days often commence with yoga on the beach, followed by kayaking, scuba-diving and windsurfing in the pristine waters of the Bahamas. Afternoon lobster hunting and spearfishing generally determines the evening dinner menu, accompanied by wine and dessert while admiring the unparalleled beauty of a Caribbean sunset.

John and Nancy have enjoyed their adventure so much that they want to share the experience with others. Nancy Corcoran was previously the Innkeeper of Ste. Anne’s Country Inn and Spa, a luxury destination spa located in Grafton, Ontario. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Nancy will provide you with delicious meals, fine wine, and ensure that you have an unforgettable vacation. John Corcoran was the owner of his own business, and is now an avid fisherman, certified scuba diver and expert sailor. John has been travelling to the Bahamas for over 40 years, and will assist you with all of your oceanic activities, from exploring the exotic reefs and mysterious blue holes of the Caribbean to catching your very first lobster!
